Building and maintaining client relationships

We put the spotlight on lessons learned to build personal connections and maintain strong relationships.

Recently Maurice Edward, our Founding Partner, shared the biggest business lesson he has learned and practiced:

“Mentally transpose yourself with the customer. Ask yourself, what does the customer want?”

Read on for a couple of other lessons we wanted to share from conversations with our broker and client community:

1. It was Stephen Covey, author of international bestseller: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People who said… “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.”

When we chatted to Mike Parr, Managing Director and founder of PML he told us that he has built his business by maintaining this principle and mindset for staying focused, setting priorities, and successful leadership.

2. “Building strong and active networks.” Nic Scallon, Founder of start-up – The Boutique Grocer was emphatic on this one. Nic knows—he’s spent the last couple of years establishing an extraordinary network of local producers.
